This album was called bland, and lacking by several popular "indie" outlets when it was first released which I thought was unfair then, and still think is an unfair description. I found The Lord Dog Bird to be melodic and even with the reverb a little higher than I would have prefered the release isn't short of being great and I seriously recommend you listen to it fully.
